Truly, PEOPLE are the greatest assets of a nation, especially its pool of OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers). No better way to honor and celebrate them than to always welcome them back to base, to be with their families and friends.
The Filipino Initiated Livelihood Organization Credit and Savings Cooperative (FILO COOP) and EVX Marketing invites you to take part in the biggest, and most anticipated event of the year, “The OFW Home Run”, to be held on March 17-18, 2018 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Cultural Center of the Philippines Open Grounds.
The actual fun run will be staged on Day 2 March 18 . The race is expected to draw in more than 20,000 people from in and outside the OFW organizations and its industry, putting their stamina to the test in the 3k, 5k and 10k distance categories. These races will be open to runners aged 13 years old and above, while the kiddie 500m dash competitions will be for age groups 7-9 and 10-12 will be held for the younger attendees.
The entire event covers 2-days of fun and exciting activities designed to draw out even the general public to join and be counted.
The trade show will showcase the indigenous products of our OFW friends who decided to venture into business in the Philippines and other products as well as investment and franchising opportunity for OFW’s looking for our additional income stream in this time of the year where everybody is into giving and sharing.
Moreover, the job fair will help open opportunities of employment inside and outside the country with the cooperation of companies and agencies trusted by Department of Labor and Employment and its jurisdiction.
To make the event a festive experience for the attendees, an early summer mini -concert will be staged on March 17, Saturday evening, where our OFWs will be serenaded by artists from the entertainment industry.
The activity will also aim to foster and fund projects and programs for the reintegration program for our OFWs who lost their jobs and want to start anew in the Philippines by giving them livelihood programs and initial capital to start a small business.
