At the close of 2024, the buzz in the running community was not about the next trilogy or the forthcoming ultra races. Runners rallied their support and spirit behind an old flame that just got bigger, bolder and even greater! This became apparent when the 7-11 Run 2025 had a happy problem running out of registrations to sell in December. To-date their forecast for this year’s race would be an obvious understatement, as they were actually able to sign up 51,000 runners, of which almost 60% come from runner-heavy Manila, easily followed by feet-spiked Cebu and Davao.
The 7-11 Run 2025 has plenty of good reasons to feel like its at the top of its game:
- This modern-day “kapitbahay na tindahan” just opened its 4,000th store in Pasay, which means it has come full circle in its 40 years of customer service and satisfaction.
- Every edition of the 7-11 Run Series marks a significant increase in runner patronage. This year’s 51,000 runners represent more than 25% increase from last year’s race.
- 7-11 is the leading convenience store in the country. To-date, 7-11 continues its reign as the largest chain store globally, where there are 83,485 stores serving 17 countries around the world. This makes its reach for customers and race registrants so widespread, hence registrations for thousands can actually close in a few weeks!
- Merchants and participating products keep supporting only the best! Every year, the “grocery lootbag” success has become identified with the 7-11 Run Series participants and, therefore, is being benchmarked by other big races.
- The technical aspects of the race are flawlessly executed. Race Mechanics, the race organizer, leaves no stone unturned from overflowing hydration, adequate and strategically-situated directional signages and marshals plus ofcourse its signature Filinvest-Alabang routes that runners now consider home-base and playground.
- The 7-11 Management Team always have its heart on paying it forward with outstanding prizes for competitive runners and that continuing mandate to foster the Pinoy talents by sending them to foreign races.
In one of its final media information drive, the focus on the driving forces behind the success of the 7-11 Run Series were clearly those who have grown into the ups and bumps of offering a national race that puts the runner (customer) above it all. Special mention to the 7-11 Management Team, Race Mechanics and Around Town Productions (ATP) of Ms Ericka Fife.
Race Mechanics led by the indefatigable Neville Manaois seeks to outdo its technical and logistical expertise, simply by being able to manage 51,000 runners for over 7 hours of running and perhaps a couple of more hours to conduct a meaty post-race program. Advanced bravo, NM!

The entire race management team mostly consist of the people from 7-11 who tirelessly attend to social media inquiries and distribution of race entitlements. Ika nga, the ones behind the scene are always the unsung heroes who make things roll.

Here are pre-race info that should get you pumped up in training and heading towards the starting line with your best self:

- Please take note that 42K and 32K categories start late night of February 1 (yes, walang tulugan yan).
- Waves within 42K category means you ALL have to be there at specified guntime. The technical team will be calling out in consecutive waves to avoid overcrowding. This does not affect your finishing time or your chances to vie for top awards.
- Get information about PARKING OPTIONS at their FB Page but since we are talking about tens of thousands of runners, travel early and get settled — rather than sit and fidget in possible metro traffic.
- Your finisher entitlements include a “grocery lootbag”; if you have not worn yourself out running 42KM, you may line up and bring home MORE goodies using your OWN ecobag.
- Let’s do our share of keeping the event and its surroundings free from unnecessary garbage.
- Let’s create a world of peace-loving runners who support the Pinoy Athletes towards greatness.

Special thanks to Vimz Mendoza and Gay Guevara and the rest of media practitioners who always promote sports and fitness activities, simply because that’s who we are!
